Good morning on this cold and frosty day!
In July 2019 our adventure The Secret of Ogimi started, with our sourcing Bali trip as the first concrete big step.
We received our very first container on Christmas eve, well 3 hrs earlier. At the same time I had to cook Christmas dinner for 18 people …a challenge but we made it.
Ever since times have literally flown by and we have just received 12 days ago our container 4! Container 5 is literally to depart from Benoa early next week! This year there will be less of a challenge for cooking huge Christmas dinners as Belgian government decided we are not allowed to celebrate with guests.Just your family that lives under 1 roof +1 extra..can we get used to maybe have a bit of relaxation time this Christmas …let’s try this…
Although we are still in lock down situation 2 because of Covid19, things are moving and so are WE at the Secret of Ogimi. We converted our warehouse a bit and have now a little showroom with a fire place, so even in those cold winter days, we can invite our customers in a warm environment. We think it’s important that customers who would like to browse our products can set an appointment to have a personal shopping moment.
Also we wanted to ensure that our range of pendants is presented in a way that the customer can experience the way the light diffuses. That is what makes the pendant often so unique. How it diffuses the light. Creating ideas to try at home, using the right light bulb and the right colour of light ( warm or cold), it does make a difference to an interior.
In our last container arrival we have a lot of beautiful storage and laundry baskets in different shapes, materials and measurements. Keeping your place tidy has never looked so good and a beautiful basket gives the perfect hint to your bathroom, bedroom, livingroom etc. Also we got an instant run on our new Bantu poufs in raffia and our gorgeous night tables Shibui and Feng, who both with their interesting cane webbing are so on trend in the design world nowadays.
A few impressions in pictures say more than a thousand words, so I stop writing today and let you soak up some of our new arrivals. For all wooden furniture lovers, stay tuned because the next container is filled up with the most beautiful chairs and tables in teak wood such as our highly demanded Roji chair, and more….
Have a lovely weekend! Chris, Renate and Owen
